About Us:
Our client is a pioneering company in the renewable energy sector, dedicated to developing innovative solutions for energy storage and management. They are currently embarking on an exciting project to develop advanced battery charging systems. To support this endeavour, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Freelance Power Electronics Engineer to join their team in Dortmund.

Project Overview:

The project involves the design, development, and testing of high-efficiency charging systems for various types of batteries, including lithium-ion and solid-state batteries. The goal is to create scalable, reliable, and efficient charging solutions that meet the needs of modern energy storage systems.


Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop power electronics circuits and systems for battery charging applications.

Conduct simulations and modeling of power electronic systems to optimize performance.

Develop control algorithms for charging systems to ensure safety, efficiency, and reliability.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate the charging system with existing products.

Perform testing, validation, and troubleshooting of the developed systems.
Document design processes, results, and provide technical support during the implementation phase.

Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in power electronics and battery technologies.


Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field.

Proven experience in designing and developing power electronic systems, particularly for battery charging.

Strong understanding of power electronics principles, topologies, and control methods.

Proficiency in simulation and design tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, PSpice, or equivalent.

Experience with microcontrollers, DSPs, or FPGA programming for power electronics control.

Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory requirements for battery charging systems.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
