Senior Data Engineer - Hybrid (onsite in Munich Area 2 days per week)

About The Role
Our Customer in the Insurance industry is currently looking for a Senior Data Engineer for an exciting project in Munich.
You’ll be working on a customer facing Data platform built using Python in an AWS serverless environment, building and maintaining ETL pipelines

What You’ll Do:
• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL data pipelines from various sources (databases, APIs, external systems) to ensure seamless data flow
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize backend systems for better efficiency and reliability.
• Staying on top of industry developments within the business and the Data Science community
• Establishing and implementing best practice
• Work closely with the external and internal team

Required Skills
• A minimum of 5 years experience using Python and SQL
• Strong Project Experience on AWS or Azure
• Extensive Knowledge in ETL, Orchestrator tools like Airflow, Glue etc
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement
• Project Experience in large teams
• Fluent German and English

• Start: November
• Duration: 6 Months (+ Extension)
• Capacity: 4 days a week
• Location: Hybrid, 2 days a week on-site near Munich
• Languages: Fluent in German and English
