Finance Specialist with a strong Energy background

For one of our client we are looking for a Finance Specialist with a strong Energy background

Project description: The aim of the project is the sale/divestment of a power plant and district heating business.

Tasks:
Professional financial advice to client in the context of the divestment activities based on our own knowledge and experience
Creation of an Excel-based integrative financial model based on the information provided by the client in advance and its own expertise:

Preparation of underlying assumptions (Assumption Book)

Calculation of the hold values / sale prices of the power plant and the district heating company

Calculation and valuation of the business remaining with the client with the divested power plant and the divested district heating company

Integration of the financials from a separate energy modelling program that models the merit order of the district heating/power generation sources

Handover of the final financial model to the client for approval and further use


Must Have:
German
Business models must be mastered (KPI's)
Knowledge of the energy industry

Nice to have:
English
M&A Expertise.

Start: ASAP
Duration: 1 year+
Location: remote, 1x a week for project meetings in Düsseldorf
Capacity: full-time (40h/week)
