As a member of the Market Settlement Operations team, the service will have the opportunity to immerse him/herself in the world of energy and the actions that the company as must take in various product and market mechanisms (so-called ancillary services) to support the management of the power system.

Job description/Tasks
The following (or similar) tasks after relevant training and onboarding:
• Conduct auctions: operate the daily auctions for the balancing capacity market in Belgium and in collaboration with our colleagues in Germany;
• Controlling the delivery of different system management services: monitor, validate and document the quality of system service delivery, mainly related to balancing services;
• Produce periodic or ad-hoc reports on system services for external (mainly regulators) and/or internal bodies;
• Contribute to improving operational processes and integrating new products into controls.

Profile requirements:
• at least a Bachelor degree in a relevant field.
• at least 2 years of relevant professional experience.
• highly enjoy working with numbers, data and IT tools.
• a strong analytical and customer-oriented mindset.
• Feel good in an operational context, aiming to deliver quality accurately and timely while remaining pragmatic.
• very fluent in English and in Dutch or French (and have a basic understanding of the other language).
• strong data skills in Excel and a good knowledge of Outlook applications such as Word and PowerPoint.
• Being able to work with and/or program in Python for data analysis is a plus.
• interest in the energy market and are eager to dive into its details.
• able to work independently.
