My customer is searching the market for a Application Operations Manager to work remotely for a period of 12 months with a possible extension.
Job Title: Application Operations Manager
Location: Remote
Duration: 12 months
Language: German (B1 Level) and English
Required Skills:
• Basic knowledge of the geographic information system "Smallworld" is absolutely necessary
• Database knowledge (Oracle DB)
• Ability to work independently, proactivity
• Good problem-solving skills, analytical skills
• Operational knowledge (ITIL)
• Basic Linux knowledge (shell programming, basic administration and logs analysis)
• GIS programming language "Magik"
• Basic knowledge of Windows Terminal Server
Task Description:
• Application management in second level support
• Incident, problem, change and configuration management
• Continuous monitoring of system operation
• ITIL-based ticket management and documentation management
• Solution of complex problems: Analysis of the root causes
• Project meetings with team and, if necessary, with customer
• Change management support: installation of new versions, migration
support
• verification and testing of new features and/or bug fixes
