Project Manager (m/w/d) IT Disaster Recovery

We are currently looking for a Project Manager (m/w/d) in IT Disaster Recovery for one of our clients.

Location: Fully Remote - client is in Germany

Project description: The client is initiating a project aimed at enhancing our IT Disaster Recovery (DR) capabilities. The primary goal is to increase the maturity level of our DR processes. This will necessitate conducting multiple dry runs to refine the 'War Room' procedures, as well as to delineate the essential tasks and data requirements. The broader objective of this DR initiative is to integrate the IT Disaster Recovery process seamlessly into the routine responsibilities of application and service owners. This will involve a concerted focus on planning and improving the development of DR plans and their testing across the extensive IT landscape of the client.

Task description:
- Create a clear project plan based on own professional expertise. Present the results to the client for a final sign-off.
- Steer the project team to meet the project plan milestones.
- Communicate promptly and precisely on the status, critical milestones and dependencies on a weekly basis to the internal project sponsors, and representatives including key internal C-level stakeholders at Steering Committees.
- Create all required decision proposals based on project progress, and present these on the weekly Project and Technology Steering meetings
- Monitor milestones and financial data and create a report on this topic in client tools, run it and present it on a weekly basis to the client.
- Develop and define all required steps to implement IT Disaster Recovery (DR), IT Service Continuity Management and Business Continuity Management based on the project plan and own professional expertise. This includes stating DR scenarios the client is prepared for with considering outages of IT services as well IT applications due to Natural, Technological and human-made Threats including Cyber attacks ( Hacking / Ransomware) and stating DR risks the client currently accepts. Present the results to the client for a final sign-off.
- Create actions to close gaps that have been identified on a high level. Present the results to the client for a final sign-off.
- Create a portfolio of work for the client IT with a focus on providing recommendations for improving the unit efficiency and process efficiency. Present the results to the client for a final sign-off.

Must have:
- English language.
- Min 5 years experience in project management.
- Min 2-3 years experience in disaster recovery service management.

Nice to have:
- German.
