Project Director Anlagenbau Pharma (all genders)

Tasks & responsibilities:
• Manage, control and deliver a large complex pharmaceutical construction project in northern Europe to the satisfaction of both the company and client
• Ensure that all statutory and company safety requirements are met
• Ensure that company procedures are complied with and that relevant information is communicated with the project staff
• Develop good relationships with the client and potential clients along with their respective advisors
• Work with the Operations Director ensuring that the projects are adequately staffed by suitably qualified and experienced staff and that future needs are identified
• Maximise the project margin & control costs
• Ensure the company is protected during contract negotiations, on-site works and post contract discussions
• Foster relationships with suitable senior consultants/subcontractor personnel
• By working with heads of individual departments ensure that staff training is kept up to date and that ‘fast track’ personnel are identified and progressed accordingly
• Lead by example setting the required standards of behaviour and conduct for the project
• Communicate the Company and Project strategy with the project team ensuring the objectives are met and understood
• Liaise with the procurement lead during the tender/negotiation/construction period
• Manage the programme of works
• Responsible for the compliance and delivery for the Project across the Safety, Quality and Program

Expertise:
• Longstanding experience in managing complex construction projects in the field of Pharma, Chemical or comparable industries
• Longstanding EPC project Management experience
• Very good knowledge in construction (project) management
• Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills in English (and German)
• Detailed knowledge in project execution and coordination
• Good communication and motivational skills
• Broad technical understanding of CSA (Civil Structural Architecture) and MEP systems
• PMI certification would be an advantage
