Buchhalter - Finance Manager

Buchhalter

Responsibilities:

* Record and post business transactions involving credits and debits, particularly incoming invoices, while considering local VAT regulations.
* Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual general ledger and closing activities, and prepare financial statements in compliance with IFRS, local commercial laws, and tax regulations.
* Post and monitor payments, and prepare payment runs.
* Manage open items, including resolving discrepancies and ensuring continuous reconciliation of the general ledger and sub-ledgers.
* Aid in the preparation of reporting packages and conduct reporting analyses.
* Work collaboratively with EU business functions, local Finance Directors, and local Finance and business staff.
* Participate in projects to optimize Accounting activities and enhance the development of the European Finance Shared Services.

Qualifications:

* Successfully completed studies in Business Administration or a finance-related professional education.
* At least 3 years of experience in general ledger and sub-ledger Accounting.
* Experience in financial auditing and/or Finance-, Accounting-, or tax-related advisory is advantageous.
* Experience in project work and/or within global business services, shared services, or transformation environments is a plus.
* Strong knowledge of IFRS, with a good understanding of HGB and international VAT law being desirable.
* Proficiency in SAP R/3, SAP ECC or S/4 HANA, and MS-Office.
* Business-fluent in written and spoken English and German; additional language skills are beneficial.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Strong customer orientation and team collaboration abilities.
* Affinity for working in an international, cross-functional environment.
* Reliable and proactive work approach.
