TMD DevOps Engineer (f/m/d)

For our customer from the energy sector we are looking for a DevOps Engineer (f/m/d) starting in the mid of Oktober.

Hintergrund

Going ahead with introducing and establishing the DevOps approach and mentality within the organization. This includes the CI/CD automation in support of custom build solutions based on .NET, Java and Python. Furthermore, the DevOps team provided solutions must respect security aspects defined by the security
department or must be cleared upfront if they may have a security impact.

Aufgaben


Communication:
• Building the bridge between dev teams and operations Experience with DevOps tools The DevOps engineer manages complex automated pipelines. The external has the ability to configure and deploy CI/CD tools as the core of a DevOps culture. The engineer will usually need to work closely with the development team to ensure they are using these tools effectively.


Optimizing release cycles:
• In a sense, a DevOps engineer is a representative of a DevOps culture. To maintain such a culture within the organization, he/she will constantly seek ways to optimize and speed-up your release process by introducing new software, for example.


Coding knowledge:
• A DevOps engineer should have a diverse set of coding skills. The external would then apply these coding skills to construct an efficient automated pipeline or build new tools as part of agile development practices.


Infrastructure knowledge
• An important element of DevOps is automation. This means that a DevOps engineer should have a working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, a concept which represents modern practices of managing infrastructure so that infrastructure setup is treated as code rather than a manual process. The DevOps engineer should also have the ability to design and manage computer ecosystems, whether onpremise or in the cloud.


• Define, maintain (+ evolution) of CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps Server
• Define + evolution of operations- and governance model
• Create + maintain documentation technical and user facing
• Handover to operational teams (training)
• L3 support for CI/CD pipelines (pipeline introduction + support on operational issues)
• Implement + establish DevOps culture
• System analysis + developing plans for enhancements and improvements
• Performance assessment, monitoring and recommending performance enhancements


Goal:
• Maintain and improve existing CI/CD processes and create new ones to replace manual processes.


Qualifikationen


• Microsoft Azure DevOps Server on-premises (pipelining, security concepts and administration)
• CI pipelines based on YAML
• CD pipelines based on classic way (Tasks, Task Groups + Variable Groups) and YAML
• PowerShell based deployment scripts

Very good command of PowerShell scripting
Well-versed in software development principles and practices
Confident use of Git and Git strategies
Static Application Security Testing (SAST) with SonarQube
Software Composition Analysis (SCA)
Deploy and host web applications/services in Microsoft IIS
Inedo ProGet (Package Management System)
Best-practice automated workflows
Industrialization of similar environments
Microsoft Windows Server
Fluent in German amp; English
