Project execution Quantity Surveyor (m/w/d)

We are looking for an experienced Project execution Quantity Surveyor for railway automation and electrification projects to support our globally renowned client in the railway industry. In this role, you will ensure the cost control and management during the construction phase of the projects. The position is based in Braunschweig and/or Berlin.


Those are the responsibilities:


Regarding the Project Management Team:
• Assist project managers in coordinating technical and contractual aspects.
• Record variations, costs, and contribute to project profitability.
• Ensure timely submission of notices and handle follow-up with project and legal teams.
• Monitor change management through formalized processes.
• Review and draft project documents (minutes, reports) and identify risks.
• Support claims, opportunity management, and value engineering (identification, analysis, submission).
• Review contracts and specifications during execution, providing feedback to project managers.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost control, focusing on cost overruns, claims, and variations.


Regarding the Project Planning:
• Help analyze the project schedule (particularly Baselines) to manage risks and delays.
• Work with the scheduling team to keep project schedules updated and identify delays.


Regarding the Communication and Coordination:
• Collaborate with teams to gather information for claims and create contemporary evidence.
• Act as a liaison between internal teams, clients, and external partners on contract matters.
• Assist in preparing progress reports on project status, risks, and claim resolution.
• Maintain an organized repository of contractual documents.


Key Skills and Qualifications:
• Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of project execution experience, ideally in rail or construction.
• Solid knowledge of project management and contracts in international projects.
• Strong command of English; German is a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of planning software (Primavera P6/MS Project) is an advantage.
