Lead Engineer Electrical DRI

Job Title: Lead Electrical Engineer (DRI)

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Electrical Engineer with extensive experience in industrial environments to support a key project in Direct Reduction Iron (DRI) production. As part of a decarbonisation project in the steel industry, this role is based on-site in Northern Germany and involves significant responsibility in the planning, coordination, and execution of electrical systems for medium to low voltage switchgear.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the basic engineering phase of the project.
Prepare specifications and manage the tender process for suppliers related to:
6kV MV switchgear technology for the Decarbonisation Project.
Cable routes and installations at the 110kV/30kV and 6kV levels.
Coordinate with on-site specialist departments and decarbonisation teams (construction, approval, steel construction) to ensure project objectives are met.
Ensure compliance with technical specifications per client standards (AM Bremen) and industry best practices (IEC, VDE, etc.).
Prepare and present weekly reports and results to the client.

Requirements:

Successfully completed studies in Electrical Engineering or a comparable field.
Several years of professional experience in electrical engineering, especially in industrial environments.
Proven expertise in the planning and installation of medium to low voltage switchgear.
Good command of written and spoken English, with a willingness to improve language skills if necessary.
Strong assertiveness, attention to detail, and a high level of safety awareness.
