Senior Medical Scientist - Oncology - Region Norost


Overview: The Medical Scientist (MS) serves as a field-based medical-scientific expert in a designated Therapeutic Area. The role entails full responsibility for all medical activities within the assigned territory, executing the field medical strategy under the direction of the MS Lead. Key tasks include gathering insights, providing medical education and communication, supporting clinical research projects, and managing various projects including educational events and regional advisory boards. The position requires regular interaction with external stakeholders in the assigned territory, as well as close national and international collaboration with colleagues from Medical Affairs and other departments.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide medical/scientific communication (both proactive and reactive) and education to physicians and other healthcare stakeholders in the region, potentially including the organization of local educational events.
* Develop awareness of the healthcare landscape in the assigned therapeutic area(s).
* Build and maintain strategic relationships with medical and scientific experts, engaging regional and national experts on various projects and activities.
* Develop and execute the regional Medical Plan of Action.
* Generate insights through meaningful scientific discussions with clinicians and researchers to inform medical strategy, including organizing advisory board meetings.
* Assist with clinical and real-world evidence studies, collaborating with investigators and study sites.
* Actively collaborate with national and international Medical Affairs team members, both office- and field-based.
* Work in tandem with personnel in Sales, Marketing, Clinical Research, Pharmacovigilance, Medical Communications, and other functions.
* Utilize scientific resources to deliver impactful presentations in various settings.
* Contribute to the development of educational programs and materials.
* Travel frequently and regularly to appointments, meetings, and conferences, including national and international travel, sometimes with short notice.

Essential Background and Skills:

* Advanced scientific degree (e.g., MD, PharmD, PhD).
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, ideally within Medical Affairs.
* Commitment to patient-centric values and adherence to the highest ethical and compliance standards.
* Enthusiasm for working in a continuously evolving scientific environment.
* Scientific and/or clinical knowledge in Hemato-Oncology, or a related scientific discipline (molecular biology, molecular medicine, immunology).
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English.
* Strong organizational skills, including attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks.
