Network Administrator - Cisco (m/w/d)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Freelance Network Administrator to join our client’s dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network administration within complex environments and be comfortable working on challenging projects that demand technical excellence. As a Network Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and securing our client's network infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations across various platforms.

Duration: 15 months
Language Requirements: Dutch & English (Fluent)

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage and maintain network systems, ensuring optimal performance and uptime
- Utilize management and monitoring tools (e.g., CISCO Catalyst Center, PRTG, Elasticsearch) to monitor network health and performance
- Implement and manage security products and VPN technologies (e.g., Checkpoint, VMWare NSX, F5 WAF, Meraki) to ensure network security and integrity
- Oversee WiFi networks, ensuring reliable connectivity and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support network segmentation, automation, and load balancing initiatives
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, providing timely and effective solutions
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing clear and concise updates on network status and project progress

Required Qualifications

- A completed IT education with at least HBO-level working and thinking capabilities
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in network administration, preferably in a complex environment
- Certification in CCNA or similar is highly desirable
- Proficient in the use of network management and monitoring tools
Strong knowledge of security products and VPN technologies
- Experience with WiFi management and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with network segmentation, automation, and load balancing techniques is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in both
- Dutch and English, verbally and in writing
