At customer, data capabilities are split into two pillars: “data as an asset to innovation” and “data usages as i.e. AI and data analytics”. Both capabilities are organized in separate units.

You, as an Expert for Data Maturity Assessment (m/f/d), will focus on the pillar “data as an asset to innovation” and design and roll-out data governance and management capabilities across multiple digital technologies, platforms, and business units that support the implementation of data strategy. In this role, you will contribute to the growth of the organization’s capabilities, skills, structures, and processes to manage data assets systematically along its life cycle. Your focus will be on understanding internal and external requirements and dependencies from various stakeholder with regards to Data Maturity Assessment. You will gather those requirements and be a major contributor to the development and implementation of the customers wide framework for Data Maturity Assessment.

In this function, you will be in collaboration with (top) management and our key stakeholders on the central level such as e.g. Digital Strategy, Data Protection, Information Security, Enterprise Architecture, as well as at business unit level across Europe. Furthermore, you will be advising multiple business units of the E.ON Group along their data maturity and data strategy journey.


Proven experience in the area of data maturity models, and track of record, people skills and open-minded and collaborative mindset as well as detailed concrete understanding of data capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Further developing and adjusting technical implementation of a data maturity assessment.
• Establishing group-wide organizational implementation of the regular maturity assessment.
• Gathering requirements, demands and transforming those into actionable advice, documentation, implementation approaches and frameworks.
• Collecting industry-wide trends on how data is leveraged for competitive advantage and identify data-driven innovation opportunities.
• Developing questionnaires, checklists and other tools for data collection and analysis.
• Updating and adapting assessments based on changing requirements and best practices.
• POC and roll-out preparation of the data maturity assessments to evaluate the current level of data maturity in organizations.
• Analyzing collected data and preparing reports on the status qui of data maturity and AI readiness.
• Evaluating and analyzing existing Power Apps solutions in the context of data maturity.
• Collaborating with the development teams to implement data integration solutions and automation in Power Apps.
• Collaborating with various stakeholder groups from the business units and management level to communicate progress, challenges, and solutions as part of data maturity assessments.
• Conducting workshops with the key stakeholders, and developing training materials and guidelines for dealing with data maturity in the organization.

Qualifications
• Bachelor / master’s degree in economics, Digital Business, Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Management, or equivalent profession.
• Proven experience in conducting Data Maturity Assessments or similar assessments in the area of data management.
• Sound understanding of data management and governance concepts and methods, as well as of data quality, data integration, data architecture, etc.
• Sound understanding in the use of established industry frameworks such as DAMA, DCAM, or DMM.
• Technical expertise in the development and customization of Power Apps solutions, ideally with certifications or proven experience in the Microsoft Power Platform.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts in an understandable way and to convince stakeholders at all levels.
• Solid consulting, facilitation and communication skills in both business and technology, including the ability to simplify complex data concepts and distill them into core insights, ideas, and recommendations towards management levels and across different cultures and countries.
