Archiviertes Projekt - 75% Remote: Senior Network Architect (f/m/d)

For our client we are looking for a Senior Network Architect (f/m/d).

Frame data:
Start: August 2024
Duration: 31.12.24 ++ (long term)
Capacity: 100% if possible
Location: Berlin / Remote (1 week Berlin / 3 weeks remote in rotation), up to 50% onsite in peak times

Role:
- Analysis of the framework conditions from business processes and IT strategies
- Conducting system and requirements analyses and translating them top-down into efficient architecture models with the aim of harmonizing and standardizing the technology landscape
- Collection of existing infrastructure domain development plans including service definitions, topologies, capacities, qualities, and integration into the overall architecture
- Developing specifications for technology and capacity requirements for the individual domains
- Collaboration with requirements management, IT security, enterprise architecture, infrastructure domain experts to ensure compatibility of the network architecture across the entire technology stack
- Clearly articulate designs, design options and justify decisions confidently
- Develop the final document with drafting, reviews, finalization, setting-into-force

Targets:
Development of the IT network strategy in a high-level document describing a target model for the following topics:
1. Foundation from overall IT strategy, IT security, rules and regulations
2. Network requirements regarding services, topology, capacity (bandwidth, QoS, scalability, availability), quality (standardization, IT security, test environments),
3. Network technologies with layer model, data centers, fiber optics, microwave radio, DWDM, TDM, MPLS-TP, IP/MPLS, IP WAN, IP LAN
4. Supporting technologies with management, automation, monitoring, logging, backup, recovery

Skills (must-have):
- Expert level understanding and experience of standard networking technologies including but not limited to VXLAN, IP/MPLS, BGP, ISIS, DNS, IPSec
- Sufficient understanding and experience of standard telco technologies including but not limited to TDM, DWDM, MPLS-TP
- Juniper Data Center networking platforms
- Cisco Data Center networking platforms
- Linux (minimum basic)
- VMware (minimum basic)
- Excellent documentation and communication skills in German or English

- Checkpoint, Fortinet, Palo Alto firewalls and Tufin
- F5 Loadbalancer
- Infoblox DDI
- Cisco ISE
- Ansible
