Mr client is a successful manufacturer of control and drive technology, combining the culture of a start-up with over 30 years of experience. Located in Friedrichshafen. They are looking for a talented freelancer to join a dynamic team.


Your Tasks:

- Development of power electronics circuits

- Performing functional and performance tests with electronic components in the field of industrial control technology.

- Creation of EMC-compliant circuit and layout designs

- Support of the development process from concept to series production readiness as well as support of further improvements/changes in series production

- Simulation and development of digital and analog circuits

- Coordination of risk analyses, decision templates, and technical statements

- Interface coordination with adjacent areas such as software/mechanics

- Technical management of hardware design for future products

- Contact person for development topics at suppliers, customers, and specialist departments


What Do You Bring to the Table:

Degree in electrical engineering or comparable qualifications

Several years of professional experience in the field of hardware development, preferably in control and automation technology

Knowledge of power electronic circuits and layout development

Practical experience in simulation and layout programs, such as Altium, Eagle PCB, or PLECS, is an advantage

Experience in dealing with standards, e.g. EMC, electrical safety

Experience in IGBT, Si/SiC, and GaN MOSFET technology

Knowledge of CE and UL requirements is an advantage

Native or B2 level German language skills desirable; English is an advantage
