For a project in Essen, we are looking for a:
Lead Data Scientist (m/f/d) - Trading Algorithms & MLOps ID25499-0

Project duration: 01.07.2024 – 31.12.2024
Project volume: 979 h remote, 109 h onsite
Location : remote/ Essen

Project description:
Based on different projects (s.a. HERE engine, NowCasting, Flexibility, FO…) the AlgoFactory framework will be continued and expanded.
Improve excellence, operations, and time-to-market of data-driven trading, through use of AlgoFactory’s MLOps setup, back testing library and feature store.
Expand and improve MLOps setup, for EEM to develop and operate in data-driven trading (s. a. signals, rule-based and machine learning algos and use-cases).
Migration and MLOps support of more than 4 use cases incl. NowCasting, Flexibility, UK auction prediction, HERE and Front Office requirements.
Improvement of HERE signal and expansion to more regions.
Back-testing Python package used and contributed to from most of data-driven trading initiatives in Energy Markets
Data Feature store being used in most data-driven trading initiatives, following their data management requirements.

Tasks:
* Advice development and operations of algorithmic and data-driven trading initiatives
* Implement, monitor and improve machine learning models and pipelines
* Extend available data assets and feature sets
* Implement CICD pipelines and MLOps best practices
* Contribute to algo-trading activities including direct business involvement

Skills:
* Experience to work as a data scientist
* Implement AI/ML models for algorithmic and/or data-driven trading
* Ability to write Python code for model implementation/training and feature engineering
* Setup of Azure Machine Learning and Data Factory pipelines
* Experience in AzureDevOps (e.g. CI/CD, Backlog, Spring Planning)
