1. Modeling and simulation of combustion and gas reforming processes, especially in presence of porous media
2. Design, optimization and implementation of air-fuel mixers and distributors for various burners using varieties of fuels
3. Design and analysis of heating systems for furnaces for different process industries
4. Simulation of phase change processes with and without porous media for the combined heat and power utilization of the PEM fuel cells.
5. Design of a new porous media evaporator for generation of superheated steam.
6. Determination of averaged effective properties of porous media using numerical techniques such as the Lattice Boltzmann Method (LBM)
7. Development, analysis, implementation and parallelization of Lattice Boltzmann Methods for thermal flows, especially in presence of porous media
