Configured and developed modifications to an approval process for purchase orders using the BRF process-oriented workflow solution for SRM. Satisfied client’s customization requirements via BADI and WebDynpro development. Implemented improvements to a pre-existing Smartform for purchase order approvals, correcting errors in logic and layout of the form. Identified and outlined a solution for updating purchasing information records from the catalogue to backend system.

9/2010 – 5/2011

Designed and implemented custom enhancements for financial and functional approvals of shopping carts, contracts and purchase orders as part of a workflow approval concept during the implementation of SAP SRM 7.0. Supported development of a WebDynpro “cockpit” for maintenance of custom control table data for approvals within the SRM environment. Developed an interface solution for the transfer of vendor data from back-end ERP systems to SRM. Wrote functional and technical specifications for custom enhancements in English and German.

Provided support for SAP Business Workflow and SRM development enhancements prior to a Go-Live involving contract approvals using the BRF framework for process-controlled workflows, automatic transfer of updated purchase requisition attributes to purchase orders and Web Dynpro enhancements for supplier catalogs.

5/2008 – 12/2009

Designed workflows for the offline approval of purchase orders and requisitions, as well as shopping cart approvals within SRM 7.0. Responsible for the conceptual design and development of an off-line approval solution for use with Lotus Notes and Blackberry devices using a combination of Business Server Pages, Web Dynpros and Smartforms (also Sapscript) to create interactive forms. Provided support during the Go-Live phase for the Indian market. Wrote detailed technical specifications for various developments.

Team coordinator for Business Workflow developments for SD, MM, CRM and CS departments during several Roll-Out projects. Coordinated with HR team to build an organizational structure for workflow approvals. Responsible for all phases of development from conception to final product working together with application consultants. Acquired knowledge of the EDI environment using IDoc interfaces. Wrote technical specifications for developments in German.

Designed and developed Web reporting tools for workflows controlling the end-to-end invoice approval and inter-company accrual verification process. Responsible for modifications to existing ABAP and Web Dynpro developments. Assisted with the development of a process for early archiving of invoices using Documentum. Solved incidents and change requests related to Workflow & Web Approval tool. Provided support to over 900 users across Europe. Coordinated the configuration of workflow processes and provided 2nd level support for all European markets during a major, global template rollout. Developed workflows for the FI, MM, SD, P2P and HR ESS modules and held workshops for markets in France, Poland, Russia, Spain, Italy and England to explain the implementation and configuration prior to Go-Live. Provided post Go-Live support. Assisted with ALE configuration. Analyzed and solved workflow and cross-application problems during testing and Go-Live phases, including ABAP programming to assist in configuration efforts.

Modified and enhanced programs and interfaces with Visual Basic and Saperion/MS Access, respectively, to control the archiving process of over 4000 scanned copies of bills and financial statements per day. Reduced overall archiving times by more than 50%.

Worked independently to improve existing workflow processes in the MM module for an upgrade from release 4.0B to 4.6C. Created function modules in ABAP/4 to define triggering events according to client specifications by creating customized business objects involved in the workflow process. Reduced protocol tables for event generation by over 90% and improved the overall efficiency of the R/3 system.

6/2000 – 12/2000

Designed a workflow for the automation and archiving of billing statement approvals. Scanned and archived incoming bills using Saperion software (from WinDMS) and sent them as attachments to notification E-mails in a 3-stage approval process. Set up interface between MS Outlook and SAP R/3 system for work item notification via Outlook, which also enabled approval stages for those without direct access to an R/3 system. Maximized cash discounts for early bill payment by using automated deadline reminders. Created dynpros for entry of approval commentary to organize and facilitate billing approval.

Served as a system administrator responsible for transports and user authorizations, learning on-site by self-training. Established an authorization concept for SAP-users. Led small team responsible for updating license fee data for over 8000 SAP-user accounts. Continued self-training regimen to ABAP programming by creating a program to automate the inventory and updating procedure (via batch-input) and using RFCs to obtain required data from the HR-module.

Modified client reports for FI/CO and SD departments to conform to a release upgrade from 3.1H to 4.6C. Attended courses in ABAP programming and ALE in Walldorf, Germany. Developed an HR Workflow for employee leave approvals.
