Summary: Second phase of the migration of mid range storage and backup tp uptodate technology. My project was a pathfinder project for CMMI process implementation and refinement. This included time tracking, reporting and resource management.

Summary: Project Manager, Corporate IT Group, for a Sharepoint MOSS2007 WSS3 SQL2005 procurement portal for $3bn of Group indirect purchasing. The solution required offshore application development (using Wipro) and a BP hosted platform (Windows). My role was a business, application and IT project manager with funding responsibility over the full lifecycle.

Summary: Process Manager, I was based in the BP 6 Sigma centre of excellence. Working to implement a group wide 6 Sigma (DMAIC and LEAN) project tracking and management tool based on Instantis Enterprise Track – an ASP tool. This project rolled out the new tool and associated processes to the BP 6 Sigma centre of excellence.

Summary: business project manager. I led the building of a large FX trading infrastructure for Reuters in London and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) in Chicago. Testing and go live run from Chicago.

Senior Project Manager : Based in the PMO as consultant PM while setting up the PMO with the sponsoring line manager. Projects I lead during this period are listed below. New PMO processes introduced.
Project 7, Project Manager, Next Generation Marketing Programme System (NGMPS)
3 tier multi site (dev, UAT, Prod and DR) web based marketing application using Java/Websphere, Apache and Oracle and SeOS and mainframe connectivity.
Project 6, Six Sigma Green belt project, Process improvement of incident queue configuration and problem management to minimise lost or slow completion of raised tickets on a Remedy Action Request System.
Project 5: Project Manager for a Ford Bank Financial Systems/Management information system migration project for an in-house accounting system from Sun to Linux/VMware/Oracle 8i,
Project 4: Project Manager for the consolidation of a small datacentre onto a VMware/shared infrastructure including 30 Sun servers, 1 tape robot and Sun storage, NetApps and Dells.
Project 3: Project Manager for datacentre (Aveley) closure, relocation and consolidation using VMware and Java based migration.
Project 2: Project Lead for the European wide virtualisation programme with responsibility for 1 virtual platform product– virtual Linux. This required creating a legacy application analysis and selection capability, building an application stack, creation of an initial build process and then the productionisation of the application migrations to the new virtual environments using a production line process. Used Vmware ESXLinux//websphere.
Project 1: Service manager for a Europe wide telecomms extranet roll out and infrastructure for remote access/VPN access for 3,000 suppliers 1,500 dealers and 10,000 employees including client software rollout.

The projects implemented have been small extranet delivery projects for city based institutions and provisioning along with pre-sales work and bids in support of the telecomms sales teams. Customers included BarCap, Barclays Global Investors, BNP Paribas, UBS Asset Management. Cantor Fitzgerald. Vendors worked with were Sun, Oracle, HP, Citrix, Nokia and CISCO. Network Service Providers were Equant, COLT, BT, FT, AT&T and KPN.
