Development of an elearning solution for language learning.
This consists of three main components. The authoring system (AS), the learning environment (LE) and the desktop player (VD).
The AS part is used to create course material and produce products.
The LE hosts those products coming from AS systems and acts as central backend for learners.
Finally the VD is the component where the learning actually happens. It's kind of a karaoke visualization for learning the new language.

Core technologies used: Java, Rails, .Net (Speech API), Flex, JavaScript

I was also responsible to set up the web store and integrate it with the backend to enable digital delivery of products to the consumer.

Another challenging sub-project was to build a syncing interface in Java (Flex was not able to handle the work load). The main part was a module that rendered audio files to wave forms, displayed it to the operator and made it possible to easy get the text and the spoken work into sync with a keyboard only interface.

2/2008 – 2/2009

Building of an online/web version of the quiz gaming show "how wants to be a millionaire".
The core was our own gaming platform which was adapted to the needs of a quiz game.
The players where able to pay real money to participate against others in a quiz. The winner of the game or several game won the pot.
My team did all the programming (J2EE + Spring) and the front end development (Flash/Flex).
SCRUM was used as project management tool.

3/2007 – 2/2009

Design and creation of a skill based gaming platform for card games like Skat and Schafkopf.
It included fraud prevention and detection, control of money flow, calculation of fees.
The whole system was done by an internal team under my lead only the design components where outsourced. We used agile methods (SCRUM) to adapt to customer needs.
The core technologies used where Java (Spring) as backend and Flex/Flash as fronted for the games.
