I am acting as the Senior Design Engineer / 3rd Level Support for the corporate ALPIQ Network:

- Nexus Datacentre: Conception, advertisements, construction and 3rd Level support of a
Datacentre Block (IP ranges and services spread over 3 DC Locations) based on Nexus 7010,
div. N5K and N2K devices
- Demand of design: Loopfree, fault tolerance, non-disruptive during maintenance services;
20Gbps backbone, integration of CISCO UCS, spreading IP-Ranges between locations
(Clustering between different locations)
- Integration of FabricPath feature sets.
- Integration of Loadbalanced Services via CISCO ACE (DC & DMZ)
- Definition of SLA (technical) for ALPIQ
- Technical Consultant for network specific questions within the company merger (ATEL / EOS to
ALPIQ)
- Education of internal ALPIQ stuff / organization of training course
- MPLS Backbone: Conception, advertisements, construction (technical responsibility Engineer on
Customer side) and maintenance (3rd level) of a multi VRF 10Gbps based MPLS Backbone
(Hardware: Catalyst 7606; Routing Protocol BGP / OSPF) .
- Restructuring of security based network topology:
- Implementation of a central point of control for VRF transition and for interfacing firewall
connectivity
- Collaboration for build up a new Perimeter-, 3rd Party- und Admin-FW Instance
- Integration of an SNA (Structured Network Access) / NAC (Network Access Control) solution.
- Integration of an IPAM Solution
- Collaboration for the implementation of a DWDM Backbone for ALPIQ (Design, advertisements)
(ADVA product)
- Migration and Integration of associated company and distend location to the corporate network
- Training of internal stuff (Operation- / Service-team) and 3rd- & 2nd Level Support
- Build up of an LAB-environment as an image of the production area
