Key member of the launch team (15 people) to develop and build the TESLA Gigafactory Berlin (Europe’s largest car manufacturing plant).
Key Responsibilities:
Factory Utility Connections Program Management
o Lead 14 construction projects in parallel of natural gas-, water- and power connections + supply agreements including up to 300 employees involved in parallel.
o Oversaw project volume budget of €41M, deployed within 24months followed by €140M long term investment.
o Coordinated project and construction managers across the projects and oversaw the projects budgets and timelines.
o Performed stakeholder management including ministries, authorities, utilities, contractors and TESLA internal teams.
o Coordinated the full program lifecycle including internal functions: permitting, engineering, procurement, construction, legal & operation.
Solar Program and Energy Procurement Management:
o Lead the program for various photovoltaic projects to install a total of 10 Megawatt on the factory within 24 months.
o Coordinated project and construction managers across the projects and oversaw the projects budgets.
o Coordinated the full program lifecycle (business case, procurement, engineering, permitting, construction).
o Established sustainable and green energy procurement for the factory across all utilities (power, water, natural gas) in line with the company guidelines.

Engineering Responsibilities
- Technical lead sales engineer for more than 30 utility scale energy storage projects across European countries (DE, UK, CH, etc.) worth €160M+ in contract volume.
- Responsible for technical contract negotiations, project approvals and due diligence (grid codes, grid connections, planning permissions, civil-, electrical- and communication design)
- Performing project on-site visits and working hand in hand with project investors, project engineers (civil, electrical, SCADA), grid operators and associations.
- Managed the TESLA virtual power plant (VPP) program within Europe (UK, DE, IT) incl. customer relationships, technical due diligence, software platform integration, etc.
Commercial Responsibilities
- Built up European energy market knowledge related to utility battery storage operation and developed business model tools for energy products for the EMEA region.
