Managed the development of a custom Airflow ETL data pipeline orchestration platform on AWS, leading two teams of 15 engineers and achieving a 90% cost reduction compared to external solutions.
• Orchestrated seamless migrations from legacy systems, involving cross-business coordination of 150+ engineers.
• Devised and started executing a 3-year phased Data Mesh implementation strategy with tech leads.
• Implemented a data quality and governance framework on AWS to address major data pain points faced by two Cimpress businesses.
• Designed and led the development of an in-house data catalogue
(Amundsen) to replace Alation, saving $650k/year.
• Facilitated adoption of data tooling across 7 Cimpress businesses
via engaging demos, pulse sessions, and interactive workshops.
• Implemented automation, CI/CD and scripting enabling 10x more
efficient deployments to serverless AWS services.
• Technically coached and mentored 4 junior SWEs remotely.
