I successfully led one of Uber's most complex projects in Austria, necessitated by changes in the legal landscape which required the deactivation of our existing driver and partner base. Tasked with ensuring Uber's continued presence in Austria and avoiding market exit, I spearheaded the recruitment of new licensed drivers and partners. The project encompassed multiple workstreams including identifying and recruiting new drivers and partners, designing incentive and fee structures, developing a new taxi product, and creating a comprehensive launch plan. This undertaking was further complicated by the COVID-19 lockdown, requiring exceptional motivation and people management skills. I managed a cross-functional team spread across Zürich, Berlin, Munich, Amsterdam, Geneva, Krakow, and San Francisco to successfully execute this high-stakes initiative.
