I’m an experienced Senior Data Scientist with well-grounded education and work experience.
During my tenure as a Senior Data Scientist at Carvewing Solutions LLP, I was driven by a passion for implementing best practices in machine learning and modeling. This drive motivated me to excel in projects such as building passenger forecasts for various airlines and developing a Python hierarchy for retrieving data and its metadata. This hierarchy significantly optimized the process of obtaining data and its associated information.
As a Senior Analyst at Merck Group, I assumed a wide array of responsibilities, including achieving mathematical modeling, feature selection, and applying machine learning methods to meet business requirements. I gained proficiency in algorithms, SQL, and statistics, enabling me to undertake various projects with enthusiasm. Notably, I developed a recommender engine that suggests products based on customer purchase history and conducted RFM analysis. Additionally, I created an analytics template to streamline data engineering and automate aspects of customer segmentation using unsupervised learning techniques. Furthermore, I spearheaded a shift optimization project, which resulted in cost savings by optimizing shift times and minimizing overlap between employees on each shift, thereby negating the need for constructing a new parking lot.
In my initial professional role as an Associate Data Scientist at Aximsoft India Pvt Ltd., I developed a passion for learning and applying new mathematical concepts such as computing probabilities. I also gained experience in implementing techniques to analyze swimmers’ performance and worked on other projects involving time series and NLP implementations.
I embarked on my educational journey with a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology followed by a master’s degree in Data Analytics and Machine Learning. My decision to pursue this career path was fueled by a profound interest in statistics and data analysis. During my academic journey, I achieved significant milestones, including presenting a paper titled ‘Chronic Kidney Disease Prediction’ at the National Conference on Big Data and Data Analytics held at Bharathiar University in 2018. Using machine learning methods, I successfully predicted the likelihood of an individual developing chronic kidney disease based on their past health reports and behaviors. The algorithms employed for this project included Decision Tree, SVM, and Random Forest.
Furthermore, I actively participated in various academic projects, such as flood prediction based on past weather data from the Kaggle repository, the development of a chatbot using Natural Language Processing, and the analysis and modeling of historical patient data from a hospital. In the latter project, I designed a model to suggest medical tests for patients with existing liver issues, resulting in significant time savings in diagnosing underlying health concerns.
