During my studies in computer science I started the development of K3b, the CD/DVD burning application for Linux and maintained it for many years, making it the de-facto standard (until CDs and DVDs became obsolete).

Starting in 2006, after finishing my diploma, I worked on Nepomuk - the semantic desktop for KDE. It was born as part of the European research project of the same name and aimed to get seamantic web technologies and ideas onto the desktop.
