Spectrum Brands decided to sell the VARTA household battery business. The existing SAP landscape has remained with VARTA and for the Pet business a new SAP landscapes had to be created with the existing customizing, master and transactional data.

• Conception of the separation of the Pet business unit in SAP ERP for the modules PP/PM/QM and SAP APO
• Transfer of the data from the legacy SAP system into a new SAP system landscape
• Definition of selection critiera to seperate data in SAP ECC on table level
• Deletion of legacy data in SAP APO
• Coordination and documentation of user acceptance tests

Distribution center consolidation

Two existing distribution center were consolidated into one distribution center managed with SAP EWM. Main requirement was to implement a intercompany stock transfer process, as the production plant and the distribution center were two different legal entities.
Key responsibilities:
• Customizing and development of an automated intercompany replenishment process from the production plant to the distribution center
• Implemenation of a SSCC pallet label
• Development and implementation of a RF-Scanner dialog to move pallets to a certain storage type
• Development of a report to automatically create a stock transfer order for all pallets in a certain storage type, create the delivery, packing of the delivery, posting of the goods issue, creation of an inbound delivery
• Migration of master data with LSMW
• Coordination and documentation of user acceptance tests

Conception and development of a process for annual operational planning in SAP

The existing process for the annual operational planning involved a lot of manual effort and was very error-prone. The requirement was to reduce to manual effort and to reduce the time to create the annual operational plan.
Tasks:
• Workshops with all stakeholders to agree on a joint approach
• Development of a Report to upload forecast figures on monthly basis for all SKUs from an Excel file
• Development of a report to execute a complete BOM explosion to get the requirements for all low-levels
• Export to Excel for further processing by the different departments
