FPK (Free Programmable Cluster)
• testing VAGs (VW, Audi, Skoda, Seat Group) product, instrument cluster (full digital dash), by analyzing requirements, creating test cases – with requirement traceability, manipulating simulation software with a sequential programming method (uTAS - United Test Automation sequencer) therefore improving efficiency (automatization) for numerous functionalities.


Graphic Modeling Tool
• I was involved as a coordinator in a new automation project. This required modeling the cluster as HMI in GMT (graphic modeling tool developed internally), creating reference pictures of the display in GS (graphic simulation tool developed internally) based on the customer graphic specification that were compared pixel by pixel with actual pictures captured from our clusters during automated test by the FrameGrabber (FPGA physical tool created internally).
• the modeling team was formed of 5 people, 3 developers and 2 system test engineers.
• this required from my side to create scripts in C# using GMTs APIs to create reference pictures generated by GS, adapting the existing automation to support FrameGrabber screenshots, handling DBs and modeling tool resources.
• our most important achievement consisted in creating fully automated warnings language tests, and comparing more than 20k screenshots, saving time and reducing human error by cutting out a tremendous amount of manual work.
• the effectiveness of our solution conducted to it being presented, sold and implemented in other Continental projects.
