Über mich

In electrical/power engineering and energy since 1998. With a good dose of can-do attitude I design, project-manage and market new products and services. I have dedicated my entire work life to electrical/power engineering and related software solutions. Prior to my studies in Linz and Dublin (economics/business administration) I worked as an engineer and technician in automation and energy. With this background I consider myself a holistic practitioner who understands commercial, legal and technical aspects. I stumbled into my profession rather by accident but found out that I have a talent for understanding and explaining technologies, markets and regulatory frameworks, connecting with people and managing products and projects from idea to delivery, thus creating sustainable business for both company and customer.

Working with me is as simple and straight forward as it can be. I am a candid talker who gets things done. Fairness is a guiding principle. I have no interest in petty power dynamics. Tangible results in exchange for market-adequate rates with full transparency is the deal. I appreciate good arguments and I am capable of maintaining discussions and reading books/papers without looking at screens, a skill which is sadly becoming rarer these days.

I keep up-to-date with energy industry-relevant laws/regulations/directives, Austrian and German technical codes/guidelines as well as strategy and position papers, published by regulators and industry associations. From this ongoing exercise my media project "NRG XPLND" emerged. At NRG XPLND I attempt to transform laws, guidelines, strategy and position papers from the energy industry into videos (all German), because audiovisual content goes down easier than written paragraphs. My leisure time I dedicate to philosophy, swing dance, vinyl record restoration, video production and olive oil.
