From a young age, I was captivated by technology, taking computers apart and reassembling them just for fun. By age 10, I was teaching myself C and assembler, diving into how registers worked and reverse engineering games to understand their inner workings. This early curiosity sparked my passion for IT and ultimately led me to pursue a career in cybersecurity.

I went on to study technical information technology, focusing on areas like Bluetooth security and cryptography, with my final thesis examining ways to break symmetric and asymmetric cryptography. Building on this foundation, I earned my master’s degree in IT security from TU Darmstadt, solidifying my expertise and commitment to the field.

After graduation, I spent five years at Continental, working in product security, conducting security analyses, developing requirements, and consulting on security concepts. I then moved to Sixt-Leasing, a BaFin-regulated company, where I was responsible for overseeing the company’s IT security for two years. In this role, I evaluated EDR solutions, collaborated with the CISO to translate policies into technical measures, approved firewall rules, and advised the executive team on strategic security decisions.

Starting my own business had always been a goal, and in early 2023, I made it a reality. Since then, I’ve been working as a cybersecurity freelancer.

With extensive experience in cybersecurity, I bring specialized knowledge in risk management and compliance. I have conducted detailed Threat Analysis and Risk Assessments (TARA) and managed asset analysis projects aligned with ISO 2700x standards, ISO 21434 for automotive cybersecurity, and NIS 2.0 regulations. This breadth of experience ensures robust compliance and security measures, especially in highly regulated sectors.

Additionally, I have led security awareness training, focusing on social engineering threats like phishing and pretexting, empowering teams to recognize and mitigate risks effectively. My practical Python skills also support my work by enabling the development of custom tools for enhanced security analysis and monitoring.

While my main expertise is in cybersecurity, my proficiency in Python enables me to develop custom tools that support security analysis and threat monitoring, offering practical solutions that enhance day-to-day operations.
