I joined the Global Digital Office of Sandoz, a Novartis division, to coordinate a global customer engagement platform project. Pharmaceutical companies are facing challenges to interact with customers during COVID-19 and an ever-evolving regulatory framework. My objectives were to deliver the project setup (charter, deliverables, team), develop an MVP of the product, and provide a defendable business case to leadership.
Through close collaboration with stakeholders, I completed the project setup in 2 weeks. I assembled and supervised a cross-functional remote team of 12 people (development, user experience, design, analytics) from vendors and internally to get started on execution. As the organization has limited exposure to agile but a mandate to do so, I coached the team on agile product development and implemented Scrum. I defined the product strategy, roadmap, and metrics that informed the product backlog to maximize value delivery. Due to the fast-paced environment and new learnings, we adapted it continuously throughout the project.
The delivery of a successfully defended business and benefits case completed my assignment and allowed budget release.

I joined Heineken's Austrian affiliate to strengthen its digital sales channel to double its revenue. Initially, I analyzed the status quo of the existing eCommerce solution by identifying barriers to customer adoption via a data-driven analysis. The analysis included qualitative elements (sales data, feature usage, adoption funnels) and qualitative elements with customers (30 interviews, 30 observations). I created 4 customer persona prototypes to visualize pains and gains. These learnings formed the baseline to develop a growth plan and to fuel the product roadmap and backlog.
I hired and spearheaded a product team (1 design, 2 developers) to create a minimalistic but efficient mobile app for the eCommerce platform that met customer needs. Customers awarded the app with 4,8+ stars on iOS and Android. User retention increased by 3x to 4x. It also enabled substantial growth in revenue beyond the objective and saved resources to postpone the replacement of the eCommerce solution.

As a contractor and entrepreneur, I developed direct-to-consumer business models, experimented quickly using hypotheses testing, and pivoted or scaled in the leanest possible way. To execute these concepts, I led the product vision process, hired and managed the team (product, marketing, operations). We delivered the best-performing prototypes in an internal competition of 5 countries. We then scaled from prototype to startup and achieved an NPS of 74, exceeding industry benchmarks by 2x. The startup then continued under the management of the local market.
