• AR/VR: Worked on a cross-functional team focused on development of AR and VR products.
• Pixel 4 Phone: System PD lead for the POLED display and cover glass, driving improvements relative to previous projects. Worked closely with antenna team to improve antenna performance while decreasing display borders.
• Pixel 2 Phones: Frequent detailed review of HTC design to direct change and implement improvements. Interface between Google module teams and HTC PD. Worked on late issues and late design improvements to help launch product.
• Pixelbook Stylus: Worked with Wacom to optimize their new sensor technology package to make it more compact and easier to implement into our ID. Drove design and architecture to meet ID requirements.
• ‘MODE’ silicone watchband: Developed silicone version of the band, including design of mechanism, integration into silicone band, and the reliability and testing setup. Designed and developed metal band version.
• VR Dev Kit: Responsible for thermal solution and the active cooling system (patent granted), antennas, and controller integration.

• Fitbit Blaze: Hands on role responsible for all aspects of detailed design. Led development and sole mechanical engineer for over a year.
• Fitbit Flex: Complete design of product, including elastomer band. Duties include selection of key components, on-sight audits and vendor selection, driving manufacturability and tooling, as well as assembly supervision.
• Detailed mechanical design of Pulse HR module integrated into Surge and subsequent HR products.
• Worked directly with ID design firm to finalize the product design while conducting architecture feasibility studies of several different next generation product concepts.

• Brought product design standards to relatively new team; created tolerance analysis spreadsheet, FAI/SPC templates, brought up a design team CAD/ID server, and taught new PMs on how to create a detailed and accurate development schedule. Helped bring MRD, ERD, PRD, and ERS to design cycle.

• Led mechanical design and validation of Flip Ultra 3 video camera, managing internal, contractor, and JDM resources. Solved mechanical, thermal, mechanism, drop, audio, and ID issues with respect to cost, schedule, and performance.
• Oversaw camera accessories development from conception to mechanical tool release, including industrial design, engineering feasibility and cost studies, tolerance analysis, 3D part design, and prototyping. Accessories included a universal charger with interchangeable plugs and a TV dock.
