Contract extended to perform Solutions Design for Vodafone IoT Smart Home product taking into account the extensive knowledge of Vodafone backend and ecosystem acquired in the previous years.
• Improved dramatically the overall delivery process acting as Technical Product Owner and leading the overall product development lifecycle creating and managing technical items in a Scrum Backlog giving priorities according to business needs and taking into considerations dependencies with other teams/stakeholders.
• Designing was mainly for product increments. Working with the Product Owner, Analysts, other Architects and a Developer Team during the definition and implementation of enhancements including a new REST API with Samsung, a SOAP interface with a multi-assistance service provided by a third party, server and mobile app business logic, optimisations to reduce technical depth and new use cases in a complex micro-service based architecture following a hybrid AWS deployment.
• Helping the Security team to perform penetration tests and advising on the best way to address vulnerabilities and mitigate risks.
• Main point of contact for new requirements/technical topics/integration issues/incidents.
• Part of an Agile Scrum team.

Solutions Architect and subject-matter expert in Mobile Payments, main responsible about the design, implementation, testing automation and roll-out in production of End-2-End technical solutions for including products like credit, pre-paid and loyalty cards associated to rewards mechanisms and fraud detection and rules in Android or iOS consumer applications.

• Working and sharing knowledge with technology enablers such as Gemalto and Carta WorldWide and big payment players like Paypal ensuring the product followed the Fourth Money Laundering Directive (MLD4), EMV Tokenisation, PCI compliance, GlobalPlatform (MNO/SP TSM) and GSMA standards, exploiting Near Field Communication (NFC) and SIM as SE for mobile payments, barcode or QR code scanning for loyalty/reward cards.
• Participating in requirements gathering, analysis, design and creation of Vodafone Pay, which allowed Vodafone users to store their MasterCard and Visa cards on the Vodafone Wallet and also link their PayPal account, enhancing choice and flexibility during contactless payments maintaining a high standard of security level.
• Enhanced the testing phase actively promoting testing automation using JUnit/TestNG and SeeTest scripts launched in a Jenkins Continuous Integration (CI) pipeline.
• Helping the Security team in the recurring product review, risk and fraud mitigation, addressing vulnerabilities.
Vodafone Wallet has been recognised by the mobile commerce industry through a string of awards, including ‘Overall Winner’ and ‘Best Engagement and Loyalty Scheme’ at the recent 2016 Payment Awards in London. It has also scooped ‘Best Proximity or Contactless Payment Solution’ and ‘Best Gift/ Incentive Card or Programme’ at the 2016 Emerging Payment Awards.
