With more than 10 years’ experience in Governance and Regulatory Compliance, I am adept at management, negotiations, and mediation, as well as fostering lifelong mutually beneficial partnerships. My military training and indoctrination has engendered in me a work ethic, and a sense of duty and responsibility, that has made me naturally oriented towards achieving objectives and adding long term value. My qualifications in law, particularly British and US law, coupled with my knowledge and understanding of ITAR and EAR regulations, as well as my experience as a former as an Officer in the British Army, responsible for compliance with British Army, UK government, NATO policies on the Rules of Engagement and Law of Armed Conflict, Data Protection, and Information Management, makes me perfectly equipped to, among other functions:
• Implement and monitor activities within the framework of the legal provisions of US (re)export law (ITAR / EAR).
• Initiate and track export control approval procedures (Technical Assistant Agreements, Manufacturing Licenses, General Correspondence, Commodity Jurisdication) as well as the coordination of coordination with US authorities and US manufacturers.
• Advise and supervise internal bodies in legal matters related US (re)export law.
• Identify goods with ITAR/EAR reference.
• Training and instruction of employees on the subject of US (re)export law.
• Participate in the monitoring and further development of processes and guidelines to further support the company’s operations.
