Standardization of the invoice reception and handling process across 68 countries from five regions (Europe, MEA, APAC, NAM & LATAM). As a project team we created a standard design for receiving and handling invoices, both in physical and electronic format. We drove standardization and optimization through the use of a single receipt address, adoption of standard rejection rules, implementation of standard vendor communication and tracking mechanisms, sorting rules at the scanning centers and by enforcing a new created global policy.
We reduced the invoice receipt cycle time to an average of 5 days compared to 20-25 days before project implementation and drove behavioral change across the organization but also with all the vendors across all regions.
