artop - Associated Institute of the Humboldt University of Berlin offers consulting, research and training in the fields of organization, personnel and usability/user experience. To promote the exchange of knowledge between science and society, artop cooperates with companies, research institutes and universities.

As a Consultant for UX and UI at artop, I was responsible for the UX design and conception of user interfaces as well as evaluating the usability of interactive products through expert reviews and usability tests. Apart from that, I designed and realized workshops with stakeholders to improve UX methods and processes.

The Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB), Germany’s national metrology institute, is using synchrotron radiation for metrology and related applications for research and industry. In this context, PTB has extended its activities with an own storage ring, the Metrology Light Source (MLS), designed and built to meet dedicated demands for metrology.

In my position as a student associate at the National Metrology Institute, I carried out projects from market- and cost analyses to conception and implementation. My field of work was mainly in improving the measuring stations for microspectrometry using synchrotron radiation in the lR- and THz-range. In particular, increasing the measuring stations quality of use was an invaluable and fascinating task for me.
