I was part of the Ops Team in charge of the Splunk systems at the bank. We implemented changes, ran upgrades and kept the systems in a healthy state by proactively running maintenance tasks. We also took care of users requests regarding access, apps, indexed data, etc. The Enterprise Security app, which we were also in charge of, was a major asset for the Deutsche Bank strategy.

4/2016 – 12/2016

I implemented the solution architected by GKC involving a complex infrastructure with splunk components living in different security areas. I also configured the parsing of the data and the field extractions for several datasources. Finally I helped some of the client’s engineers to build some apps and various dashboards.

9/2015 – 4/2016

I worked on a high security project involving the complete re-architecture of the Splunk infrastructure, re-implementing apps for better performance and consulting work about how to get the most out of Splunk. I also worked with the Cloudera team to design a solution to archive data from Splunk to Hadoop and then make that data available to the users via Hunk.
The last bit I did was a POC of Enterprise Security, whose license was scoped to be purchased in a near future.

I was the third engineer that GKC hired for the company and soon I was trained in Splunk and passed the certification exams. Due to the company strategy I was present in all the phases of the projects and engagements with the customers: requirements gathering, production of work proposals, developing work and product presentations.
