GUIDELINES AND EXPECTATIONS
I graduated in mechanical engineering as passionate of the automotive product, from engines to almost everything that gravitates around it.
Any work experience has proven my tendency to check on the spot (site, workshop, plants, etc.), the result of what the theory teaches, and procedures and market discipline. It's my personal and professional need : avoid to loose the sight on the goal of the main project; something that becomes vital in complex projects.
For this reason, after years as design engineer, I decided to leave this specialised engineering sector (2000), starting with experiences in the project management, in order to guarantee me greater vision on the results and final goals in complex projects. This task was performed mainly in the energy sector (electro- hydraulic, civil).
At the same time, the technical education, passion and curiosity helped me to support the project management, also as interface with technical analysis/development of more engineering issues. This remains a double motivating challenge, which was oft present in my job experiences, in Italy and abroad.
Today (2016) with the same criteria, I decided to move from a well-established route, in order to use my project management experiences / technical-management experiences, for italian or foreign companies, also in new market areas, like civil, services, events, public organizations, in the industrial context where I trained more and without loosing the sight on the automotive sector, my passion.
In my opinion, training, motivation, creativity and flexibility increase a professional added value for a human resource. This may be done also leaving/changing the own consolidated, specialized procedures or repetitive experiences after more years. It brings a benefit for the company, for the human resource self and the common target.
This leads me to focus today on professional commitments (also free lance o consultant), where the procedures and tools, play a secondary role, leaving me to be closer to the technical and final results. This focus will not exclude other opportunities and training (procedures included) depending on the projects’s type or context.
PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY
I started my job experience using the opportunities linked to the knowledge of the German language and my availability to move. In a first small company (Gamma Meccanica), open to international contexts, I followed the transfer and re-design processes, regarding a manufacturing line of acoustic panels, from Germany to Italy. The further issue swa the first marketing steps in Italy.
The same opportunity and knowledge, allowed me to entry in a multinational company (Sulzer) involved in the energy context, for four years. In this company I developed my technical training in mechanical and hydraulic design, with more abroad experiences and over 2 years in Switzerland.
Then I decided to move from technical design departments, improving project management skills, in order to have a closer view to the whole result, to the final target of every project.
This was realized with a first experience (2 years) as head of technical department in a medium-sized company (Nardi - Dry Kilns), internationally related with more product divisions, through travel and internships of several months by an USA subsidiary.
In year 2000, I confirmed my choice (project management), continuing in a multinational company (Andritz - energy context), following a more specific Project Manager path, through different projects experiences in Italy, abroad (Turkey) and two permanent years in Austria (Wien). After some years, I also decided to consolidate this experience with a personal training (extra work), achieving the Project management Certification (PMP) by the PMI.
Today I’m focused to develop new experiences as Project Manager (also freelance) also in new product sectors, industrial and services, civil works or events, for italian and foreign companies.
