I am a graduated student from Maastricht University with a bachelor’s degree in Knowledge Engineering. I am interested in mobile application development, specifically the implementation of applications for the iOS and Android platforms. The variety of courses within my bachelor’s degree have taught me how to collect and organize valuable data using mathematics and intelligent computer techniques. I have also learned how to use models and computers for data analysis, generating new knowledge and conclusions to solve practical problems.

In order to develop my understanding of real world applications of the theoretical techniques obtained, I have been a trainee in Compo Software B.V. for the period of March 2015 to June 2016. I operated within a small team, working on the development of a recommendation system, directly applying freshly learned information in order to resolve the target issue within the company. This time allowed me to strengthen my ability to operate within a team, and identify the importance of clear communication and collaboration.

I have always had a vested interest in mobile application development, resulting in me and four of my close friends founding a software development company in July 2014. From this point onward I have been intensively working on the development and implementation of multiple cross-platform applications, developing my creativity and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. This allowed me to develop my programming skills across multiple languages and resulted in assured confidence when embarking into new domains. Furthermore, as the co-founder of the company I sought to improve my leadership skills and expand my knowledge in the field of entrepreneurship. To achieve this, I took a minor of Entrepreneurship in Maastricht University.

As a person, eagerly seeking new opportunities and ways to improve myself, I am currently searching for a new challenge within the sphere of mobile application development

I am a Mobile Application Developer mainly focusing on the development of native iOS Applications. I started as a cross-platform developer programming in C# and using Xamarin Studio. After some time working with Xamarin Studio for the development of native and cross-platform applications I decided to switch to Xcode and started focusing solely on iOS Applications Development. Since then I have been programming in Swift 3, Swift 2 and Objective-C. Furthermore, I am also experienced in Java and Python, programming languages that I studied and used throughout my bachelor degree.

Most of the mobile applications nowadays require the development and integration of databases. Therefore, I also have experience working with REST APIs, JSON and frameworks such as Alamofire, ObjectMapper, RxSwift and others for the integration of back-end services. Often there's the need for some data to be saved locally on the device and for this purpose I have used Realm and CoreData. I also have some experience with Node.js, Ruby on Rails and hosting servers such as AWS, Heroku and Google Cloud.
