My name is [...] [...] and I love taking pictures.
I grew up in a small town in northern Germany, where I was part of a very creative skate- and music-scene that led me to film making and photography. By the age of fifteen, I was shooting skateboarding videos and was photographing for a DIY skate-magazine.
In the mid nineties I moved to Berlin, where I established a small video production company in collaboration with the music label “Kitty Yo”.
We began a monthly show with “Freshmilk” and some artists from the hip-hop project “Puppet Mastaz”
In order to take my work to the next level, I then spent six years studying Media Design and Visual-Media Production at the University of Applied Sciences in Berlin with focus on film production and moving images.
I graduated with a diploma for camera operations. While working in this highly technically and “big-team” oriented field, I concluded that I preferred a more spontaneous and direct work processes and that my heart was still focused on photography.
I then frequently worked as a photo assistant for big productions to be able to finance my studies. There I learned all I needed to know.
In combination with my knowledge in film lighting, I felt I was ready to start working on my own larger projects.
Since 2008 I work as a freelance photographer in advertising, editorial, reportage for clients such as:
Zitty-Magazin, Die ZEIT, Goethe-Institut, HRS, MTV, Shurkamp-Verlag, Löwenbräu, Jaegermeister, Smart, Bo-Cocept,
Raumfeld, Level 47, Bundesministerium für Umwelt and others
