Virtual Migration – Perform Virtual to Virtual migration using VCenter and VMWare Converter. Identifying requirement and risks on Production, QA and Test servers, engaging other teams as necessary. Assisting infrastructure/migration team in troubleshooting migration, hardware, and system software issues. Document migration details, issues and resolution in order to improve migration process. Demonstrating high level support for costumers, and proposing effective solutions to minimize the risk.
Project Management - Working on documents and procedure for continued improvements to projects, held meetings weekly on suggestions and customer approach.
Server Replatform, and New Server build - Server upgrades from legacy OS Windows 2000 and 2003 to Windows 2008 and 2012 with all standards in applications, IIS, roles with security process and auditing procedures. Helping other departments on resolving their issues, approving admin rights to requests. Server New builds for new departments and application and applying all the standards. Approving and auditing new server builds to comply with the standards.
Server Decommission - Performing server decommission for servers that are being replatform, V2V-d, or not used. Working with application owners for minimizing the risk and engaging other teams to perform cleanups in AD, Firewalls, Application licensing.
