- Functionality of Data Workbench (potentially used by 70.000 auditors in 190 countries):
o Extracting Data from various ERP-Systems via Data Connectors

o Providing User-Interface for Parameter Input & Metadata Input
o Executing T-SQL procedures of pre-defined audit Analytics (General Ledger Analytics, Subledger [e.g. Sales, Inventory, Purchase,…] Analytics)
o Processing SSAS cubes
o Providing pre-defined Dashboards (PowerBI/ Excel) for user download

o Design concept for a Software Development Kit/ API for Data Workbench
Goal: give central teams of countries the flexibility to change the ETL Platform for their needs
How: Design & Enhance Database Model (ER Diagram) of Data Workbench Backend
Metadata driven approach: We showcased how to change Data workbench so that new functionalities (new analytics/ new ERP systems/…) can be added only by modifying the backend

Development of “General Ledger Advanced Analytics”
- Background: Based on existing General Ledger Standard Analytics there was the need of gaining as much insights as possible without extracting subledger information from customer ERP systems
o Enhancement of Bifurcation Algorithm allowed us to assign customer and vendor information to each Journal Entry
o Development of Common Data Model allowed us to leave the SAP-world and be ready for connecting other ERP systems
o Visualization (e.g. via waterfall diagram) enables auditors to gain insight into following areas: Sales, Inventory, Purchase, Fixed Assets, Human Resources
- Tools: PowerBI & Excel, SSIS, SSAS, T-SQL, Visual Studio, AzureDevOps

Development of “Audit Benchmarking”
- Best-in-class dashboard for audit relevant KPIs over certain customer segmentations
- Creating a workflow considered data risk requirements, stakeholder needs and statistical correctness based on data insights
- Developing the data process flow
o Extracting Data from different cubes via SSIS
o Importing Data into SQL Server tables
o Developing metadata driven (enable Business users to define KPIs in sharepoint) logic of execution order for several KPIs (e.g. Purchase Order Rate)

- Goal
o Analysing and Visualizing the Performance of Photovoltaic Modules over time to find low power modules that need to be replaced.
- Extraction, Transformation, Loading and Visualization of Data:

 API Webservices Webplatform meteocontrol/ sunnyportal
 Data logger on power plants send csv-files via mail => existing data importer writes data into T-SQL database
o Implementation of Analyzing Logic via T-SQL Procedures
o Visualization via MS Reporting Services => parameter based auto-generated PDF/ E-Mails

Development of Financial Report for Wind power plants
- Goal
o Monthly auto-generated financial reports to inform investors about financial KPIs. Reports of around 10-30 pages containing charts, data and diagrams, technical documentation of Operation & Maintenance collected from wind power plants with a capacity comparable to one nuclear power plant.
