Project #1:
Title : System Administration of Linux storage systems

Description : HYDRAstor storage support require remote administration of servers
Contribution :
Took overall ownership of planning, installing/upgrading various customer sites using CentOS/RHEL Linux

Managed and troubleshooting of various server operation issues related to performance, installation, update etc.
Achieved better CSAT and thus avoiding deadline misses in all customer cases.
Discussed and finalised patch issue lifecycle with NEC management and technical teams.

Project #2:
Title : NTP module for HYDRAstor
Technologies : Unix/Shell Programming
Description : Existing NTP module is a customised wrapper over OSS ntp. Enhancements were needed to support new type of hybrid hardware and RHEL5.8
Contribution :
Took end to end ownership of the module from day one of joining the new organisation
Analysed and implemented the various enhancements for supporting new HW and OS
Study OSS and debug customer issues for possible configuration issues.
Creation and maintenance of makefiles for make, came for build in CVS, GIT

Project #3:
Title : Enhancement and Maintenance of various releases
Technologies : Unix/Shell Programming/Perl
Description : HYDRAstor V4.1, V4.1.1, V4.2, V4.3, V4.3.1, V4.4 are various releases which are planned and released to customer. They contained enhancements as well as bug fixes
Contribution :
Build and release management for multiple releases with daily/weekly code build. Automation of manual steps and debugging/resolving the build errors
Worked as technical lead for 5/8 components of OpsMgmt team (SystemBase, NTP, FTP, AlertManager, Updater)

Title : Kernel Upgrade for call manager product

Description : Call Manager had to migrate from R5U5 (32 bit) to R5U7 (64 bit).

Contribution :
Worked on the kernel upgrade of VOS from RedHat R5U5 to R5U7 and porting the kernel changes from 32 bit to 64 bit.
Customised R5U7 and SNMP agents to suit VOS and supported server needs.
Prepared test cases & tested for Install & upgrade of CUCM on new servers.

Project #2:
Title : SNMP agents’ integration into VOS
Technologies : Linux/Shell Programming
Description : Cisco Unified Communication products utilise SNMP demon that is present in the operating system to track the server status. Integration of SNMP into product suite requires some sort of customisation(s).
Contribution :
Integrating the vendor specific SNMP agents into product suite. Updating the SNMP agents when an OS upgraded happens or vulnerabilities addressed.
Updating and customising the CLI commands for SNMP across releases.
Automated tool to run SNMP walks on multiple servers to reduce test execution time

Project #3:
Title : Upgrade VOS to use Tomcat 7 and Ant 1.8.2
Technologies : Linux/Shell Programming, Java
Description : CallManager uses Apache Ant for building the projects and Apache Tomcat as a web server. Release of Tomcat 7.0.20 involved upgrading Ant as well.
Contribution :
Customising new tomcat according to VOS needs with complete ownership of the development and testing effort.
Worked on identifying and resolving the build issues due to Ant upgrade
Worked on identifying and resolving conflicts in java/jsp related projects due to Tomcat
Build and release management of the releases with daily code build along with solving errors.
