PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Design, development and testing of LTE Layer 2 (MAC, RLC) Protocol Layers on multi-core Cavium.
• Involved in System Integration and System Testing Activities.
• LTE MAC-PHY Interface development and testing using IXIA UE Simulator and Sequans LTE UE.
• Good understanding of FAPI (Femto Application Platform Interface) MAC-PHY Interface.
• Developed the framework for utilization of packet processing functionalities of Cavium Network Processor for performance optimization of Layer 2.
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Layer 2 representative to the System Engineering team.
• Involved in Product System Requirements Specification and benchmarking activities.
• Being the 3rd member of LTE Software team of 35 people, I was involved in building the team (technical evaluation of candidates), Network Processor evaluation, LTE eNodeB L2-L3 Protocol Stack Evaluation and Test and Measurement Equipment evaluation from multiple vendors.
KEY HIGHLIGHTS:
• Involved in the demonstration of end-to-end calls to customers.
• This project is helping me gain knowledge in TDD Vs. FDD implementation, multi-core programming, understanding of LTE Layer 1 features, Commercial UE Simulator usage, packet processing acceleration and bare-metal implementation on Cavium Network Processor, Product Specification, System Testing.
