Established a new business area - Subscriber Experience Analytics in 4G/5G Networks, leveraged my technical & business knowledge to expand company’s business opportunities. Part of this initiative formed strategic business and technical partnerships with Nokia & Cubro.

Secured R&D fundings from German state (ZIM) to realize SW tools needed for the new business area.

Leading product development for Analytics & Call Tracer SW tools, created overall concept, setting requirements, providing high-level design, data modelling, KPI definitions and algorithms development. Analytics tool provides easy insights on network/subscriber’s performance and highlighting problem areas. Call tracer tool aids engineers to efficiently troubleshoot subscriber’s issues in 4G/5G networks - accelerating root cause identification by 10 times through innovate features like automatic call scenario detection and subscriber correlation engine.

Created Analytics tool use cases – Processing and correlating data from Network probe, Radio cell trace and OSS to get E2E service performance insights via relevant KPIs – Packaged as themed use cases for 5G SA/NSA, VoNR/VoLTE/VoIP and eMBB/MBB with clear defined network optimization goals, guiding mobile operators to select use cases making most impact on enhancing customer experience and improve revenue through reduced churn rate.

Conducted several successful Call Tracer tool Proof of Concept (PoC) which led to several new business opportunities & offers to Tier-1 operators.

Organized participation at MWC24 fair, included SW demos, posters, flyers, and sales stories, resulting in several new leads.

Solution Architect at Deutsche Telekom (DTAG) - Created concepts for automating operations (DevOps) for a new cloud database - Network Data Layer (NDL) storing all subscribers & session data in the 4G/5G Core network. Developed concepts and implemented prototypes (GitLab) for:

Pioneered and conducted VoLTE E2E network assessment and optimization projects for multiple Tier-1 operators using network probe data [DO, Empirix, EXFO, Netscout, Viavi, WNG] to identify issues, suggest improvements to enhance subscribers mobile voice call experience.

Developed CEM (Customer Experience Management) PoC using probe data, led implementation for a Japanese-owned operator, resulted in multiple Analytics software and service contracts.

Conceptualized, defined requirements and designed functionality for MBB CEM, VoLTE and 5G option 3x modules for Nokia Network Probe (DO) – Modules were deployed in live network at several operators and gave valuable insights on MBB Customer Experience, VoLTE and 5G NSA performance and aiding engineers troubleshooting subscriber’s network issues.

Invented and implemented machine learning (ML) use cases through PoCs supporting Analytics pre-sales activities. Examples of use cases - Automatic insights to identify subscribers at high risk to churn. Highlight relevant LTE Radio KPIs impacting subscriber’s user plane experience – like VoLTE speech mutes. Used ML methods: K-means clustering, Regression Trees, Time Series Analysis etc.

Invented and implemented automation frame work on Nokia AVA (Spark based platform) to automatically calculate SIP KPIs from pcap files.
Guided NPO engineers with definition of subscriber service impacting KPIs from EPC & IMS serving as input to an operator’s SOC platform.

Member of Automation team responsible for Digital BI stream – identified and promoted Analytics opportunities for a green field mobile operator in Japan.

Created training material and conducted EPC and IMS training for engineers.

Outcome was three-year recommendation plan for the number of MSC nodes, voice trunks and CCS-7 links needed together with a new flexible and expandable network topology.

• Periodic Location Registration Load regulation and capacity modeling/simulations in OPNET (C/C++) for the CMS 30 system. Conclusion included benefits and drawbacks if activated in the live networks MSCs.

• Radio Network Access Load regulation measurements in CMS 30 test plant/Live network, analyzing of log-files. Conclusion included optimizations of load regulation algorithm parameters.
• Development of Radio Network Access Load regulation data analyzing tool in Visual Basic.
